Let’s just say I’m glad it’s a new week

We’ve been stuck in this trudge of getting through unlucky days and I'm hoping there is an end to it somewhere soon. It started with me loosing my house key. I am at the front door one day, reaching for my key holder, opening it up and there is no house key. It just wasn’t there. Mystery.
Next, V’s business truck broke down. Just stopped switching gears one day and that’s that. Again, without any apparent reason. And considering the nature of his little business - not having a running truck would be like being a taxi driver with no taxi.
Thank God for rentals. We were able to rent one out the next morning and use it for the rest of the week. But that wasn’t the end of it. On the morning of the day we had to return it, we discover one side of truck graffiti painted. As much as appreciate urban art this was so NOT cool, wrong and deceitful. V was crushed. Not by the stupid kids that have nothing else to do, but by timing. Why now? On top of other things?
Thank God for brake cleaner. It took the whole drawing off in minutes and we returned the vehicle in its pristine shape.

So far enough, I say. It’s a new week and I’m hopeful we get to spend it without punches. At least not all of them at once and to the same spot.

P.S. I’ve been in dirt up my elbows to keep my mind off sad topics. Earth and plants have a soothing effect on me, I’m grateful we have this little patch of nature in our backyard where I can decompress.

I hope things get better. It sounds like you have your three bad things happen already. Now it's just on to the good stuff...

funny how everything comes in threes, right?

    1. I hope so too! Three is enough, you're right, I'm just dreading if it got jinxed as I found my house key!
