Dream follow-up

Ok, this isn’t exactly my dream realized, but it’s a dream come true for a very special people – my parents. A week ago they became homeowners of this beautiful house in a wonderful coastal town called Scarborough, Maine. We are super happy that after months of searching and endless viewings, they have finally found their dream home. I know nobody else who deserves a proper home more than my “never-settling-in-one-place” dear parents.
Before committing to buying this property, they were really into the idea of building a house. Unfortunately that was easier said than done. Without going into too much detail, it was REALLY hard to find a trustworthy contractor for such big project.

So they decided to buy. The main best feature of this house is that it’s within walking distance to the ocean – this was a must for my parents, as they love the ocean and ocean air (a reason number one why we couldn’t get them to settle in Ottawa!) and now they can walk to the beach. And of course, 1.3 acres of land didn’t hurt either - lots of room for gardening projects and grandkids to run around.

There are things to be added and updated, but generally, the house is in a great shape and we can’t wait to pay them a visit!
