Both options I love and it’s really hard to pick one.
Considering the dark slate we’re putting in (yet to be picked up, we’re so behind!), the black wall might be too much for such little space. On the other hand, wallpaper will eventually get scratched and banged up in this high traffic volume spot, so is it worth it?
Then I found this entry, which I also like:

Not only you can store shoes in them, the top can serve as a shelve for keys, sunglasses or mail. If only I could convince V to get them, he’s not crazy over the fact that they’re made of plastic :(
If you have any thoughts on this, please voice them out. It’s really hard to have these decor talks with my hubby, all I get is “I don’t care, you choose” - not much to rely on.
Hope you're having a productive Monday!
I would say black paint. White will get dirty super fast (or maybe it does at my house, he he) and you're totally right about the wallpaper. It will eventually get ruined as well. Better use it someplace not so high traffic :)
ReplyDeleteblack wall and black floor might actually be a nice statement (if you're putting it on the wall between the door and closet?, right opposite the stairs?? just that one wall??)
I'm with V on not being so hot on the plastic containers. However, I'm considering them myself for our busy family because they are just so practical. And black plastic on a black wall might actually work really well and be a nice contrast of finishes.
just my two cents :)
Thank you for the input!
DeleteYep, just one black wall. I'm very eager to try it, to be honest. And those black containers might be a must since there will be no other "concealed" storage. I wonder how plasticky they really are?
